Database Solution Architect i Stockholm

We are looking for a Database Solution Architect with a passion for large scale database systems and a desire to lift and shift on-prem solutions to cloud.

As a Database Solution Architect, you will work with design, finding solutions to technical challenges and develop services together with our suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will be an important part of a team of Infrastructure Architects.

We are seeking a person for an assignment within our Infrastructure & Operations Hosting section. You will be part of the service area and work on strategic level supporting our different operations teams with database architecture expertise. You will also be an important part of our cloud adoption team with the mission to lift and shift our on-prem databases to cloud (our preferred platform is Azure). As a Database Solution Architect you will be responsible for the architecture within the service area and drive the development forward.

You will be employed by the Infrastructure & Operation division’s Competence Center, a team of cutting-edge professionals supporting the complete division with qualified expertise. Your responsibilities

The job of a Database Solution Architect at H&M comes with a lot of responsibility – and lots of fun.

Your to do-list includes:

• Supporting Development Divisions with database expertise
• Support of local and offshore Operations teams with database expertise and strategic guidance
• Supporting Cloud Office, Service Manager and Service Delivery Manager with architectural expertise and advice for both on-prem and Azure database services
• Be a focal point and drive the cloud adoption of database solutions. Advice on architecture patterns, alternatives and good practices

• Broad knowledge and experience from design and operation of large-scale database systems
• Passion and knowledge about modern cloud-based database architectures and services
• High drive and motivation to support the transition from today's on-prem systems to Microsoft Azure
• Experience of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL is a prerequisite
• Experience of global IT-environments
• Experience and knowledge of ITIL and ITSM
• Experience and understanding of Data Privacy implications on architecture
• Experience of high and low level design work and skilled in writing various documentation
• Ability to understand business needs and design new services or infrastructure functionality accordingly
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English

It’s a plus if you have general experience from software development, agile development methods, DevOps, Microsoft Azure and/or be able to communicate in Swedish.
