About IT Logistics Trade and Transport

Trade & Transports responsibility to H&M Global Logistics is to establishing best in class IT applications cross channels and brands that will secure that business can plan, execute and follow up our transports concerning track & trace, service levels, costs and secure that business can manage import & export in an efficient and compliant way.


Our growth and expansion require a lot from our IT-solutions which put us in the center for many exciting and important deliveries both in maintenance situations and ongoing pre-studies/projects. Our focus is to work close with business to understand their short-and long-term requirements and follow the trends within IT and business development and continuously secure our IT application meet business and customers’ expectations. 


About the position
As an Area Architect at Trade and Transport you will work with a lot of cross-dependencies, cross-channel (Store, Online and Omni) and for all brands within the H&M Group. You are responsible for the overall solution architecture within the area and secure that it meets the business needs, requirements and target architecture in an optimal way. You will have a key role in the Trade and Transport area and a member of the Division architectural team where in both you will have key roles.


You will be located at our IT-department in Stockholm, Marievik, where we have an activity-based workplace in order for you to have the best possible conditions for flexible and productive work.

Travelling will be part of the job 


What you will do

The job of an Area Architect comes with a lot of responsibility and a lot of fun. Your to do-list includes:

  • Partnership with the business and early identify needs and strategies to find sustainable, long term and cost-effective solutions
  • Ensure that architecture is documented and up-to-date on a relevant and manageable level and that the target architecture and roadmap are continuously revised and communicated
  • Making risk analyzes and verifies system architectures against area architecture regarding integrations, data models, information sources, information flows, processes, etc.
  • Secure that architectural principles, policies and guidelines are followed
  • Collaborate with other Area IT Architects across borders
  • Analyze trends in technology, system, tools and methods on behalf of the Service Area
  • Coach and support solution architect
  • Work proactive to anticipate changes in conditions, both business and technical
  • Analyze needs and drives technical improvement
  • Secure that non functional requirements are met within the service area
  • Proactive work by identifying and facilitate Key enabler initiatives


What skills you need

As a leader you should have a great level of independence and we expect you to act and be confident in your leadership. We believe you are a strong communicator both in verbal and written form and are adept in communication towards many different stakeholders. We believe you are humble, social, believe in people and have skills to build and maintain relationships. We believe your skills include:


  • Approx 5 years of experience with IT Area or Enterprise Architecture where you have proven excellent results
  • Knowledge in/of Supply chain/Logistics
  • Experience from integration intense enterprise system solutions
  • Experience from working with external software providers, preferable SAP in general and SAP TM(S) and SAP GTS specially
  • Experience from working within a global organization Supplier Management
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Good understanding of business when it comes to business strategy, processes, needs and challenges
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong communications skills with great experience in conducting meetings and workshops and solid presentations skills
  • MS Office and MS Visio
  • Experience from e-commerce is an advantage
  • Have a business and customer-oriented mindset
  • Are fluent in speaking and writing English (Swedish is a merit)
