About us

Group Treasury is a matrix organisation operating across Swedbank home markets in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Group Treasury is responsible for bank's funding, capital, financial risks and liquidity management. Development & Financial Analytics unit of Group Treasury is supporting Treasury Profit & Loss (P&L) analyses and forecast, internal transfer funding framework (FTP) and Treasury development initiatives.

We are now looking for a leader to develop and lead the Funds Transfer Pricing team within Treasury Development & Financial Analytics unit.

Job responsibilities

The Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) team serve as a liaison between FTP, supported by Group Treasury and Business Areas, responsible for the FTP framework and methodology. Below are the key responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing FTP framework
  • Review and enhance FTP processes and controls
  • Support the development and execution of the strategy for the future of the FTM framework and engine
  • Ensure that the key principles of FTP (e.g. transparency, uniformity, cohesiveness) are supported by the framework
  • Support ad-hoc FTP analysis and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain an effective communication structure between Group Treasury and the Business Areas to explain updates, drivers and capture forecasts for business planning
  • Manage and enhance the framework for analysing the relative value between product groups

About you

To succeed in this role, we believe that you are highly organised, proactive and a committed team player with a background in finance/risks and good knowledge of and genuine interest in asset liability management, you have strong interpersonal and communication skills and can work in cross-border teams. We find it important that you can combine your theoretical skills with a strong ability to get things into practical implementation. Your good analytical and logical thinking is supported by a solid combination of the following requirements:

  • An academic degree in Finance and/or Mathematics/Statistics
  • Strong grasp of Treasury function, with funds transfer pricing or liquidity stress experience
  • Over 7 years of relevant financial analyst experience in a large corporate environment
  • Proven ability to support and develop a team
  • Ability to work independently, form own judgment/opinions, provide insights and drive change
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to tie results into story and 'big picture'
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management abilities to establish and maintain collaborative partnerships across the organization
  • Excellent communication skills – and ability to build relationships across businesses and divisions

Prior knowledge in the following areas is of merit but not a requirement:

  • Experience in balance sheet management, profitability, and forecasting
  • Experience in projects management, including agile methodology
  • Working knowledge of SQL
