You will be part of the Business Unit Grid Integration, located in Västerås. Grid & Power Quality Systems (G&PQS) provide operators with more control of existing AC systems by introducing Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices into their power networks. • At G&PQS you will aid in creating a more sustainable future by studying the impact of renewables to the power grid.
• With higher penetration of renewables, power grid operators are confronted with a more unpredictable network in comparison to the past.
• You will be involved in developing and assessing advanced control functionalities for FACTS systems to address this problem.
• You will create suitable test networks using Simulink / Matlab or PSCAD.
• You will implement advanced control methodologies.
• In this job you will study stability of the control methodologies under varying power network conditions.

• You are studying a university master program within a relevant technical area along with documented knowledge in power electronics and power systems.
• It is a benefit when you have experience in control design, stability assessment, and programming.
