If so, ABB’s Robotics unit, part of the Robotics & Discrete Automation business in Västerås is recruiting a Courseware Writer to the Robotics Academy team, responsible for developing and distributing training courseware for our products globally. The courseware consists of student material as well as trainer material and is used at our local training centres when training customers.


In this position, you will be a part of ABB Robotics Academy team, which is responsible for the internal training as well as customer training course material globally. Guided by an annual strategic plan, the team develops and distributes training programmes in a variety of formats and channels. Key focus areas include industrial robot products and software, robot application equipment as well as soft skills training. Target groups span from the sales and service people to our local customer training centres trainers. The ABB Robotics Academy plays an important role in developing and transferring knowledge to these customer trainers enabling them to provide our customers with quality training around the world. With this role as a courseware writer you will play a key role in the production of harmonized and quality courseware for all the training centres.

• As Courseware writer you will, in close collaboration with R&D and the documentation department, create courseware material for our training centres around the world.
• Other important tasks will be to secure easy access to the material and a good update and feedback process for existing material.
• The role also includes managing and developing our courseware writing tool Skribenta as a super user.

• You have a strong technical knowledge and have preferably several years’ experience of ABB industrial robots in activities within technical service and support.
• Previous experience in customer training is highly desired, as well as pedagogic skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills are required. Since you will be located in Västerås fluency in Swedish is an advantage.
