The Power Grids Grid Automation (PGGA) business line is an umbrella organization for Grid Automation Products and Grid Automation Systems. Grid Automation Products is responsible for the development, marketing & sale and manufacturing of products for protection, control and communication for high voltage power grids.

The unit's product offer consists of relays in the Relion® 670/650 series and the COMBIFLEX family. The unit also offers services such as training to ensure customers get the maximum return on their investment in ABB protection and control solutions.

• As a Category Manager you belong to the SCM team at Grid Automation Products in Sweden. The SCM team is responsible for strategic sourcing and category management globally.
• Managing electronic component manufacturer and components sourced both directly and through EMS.
• Working in close cooperation with the Business Line Category Manager for Electronics and R&D Department to develop sourcing strategy for electronic components.
• Component selection and negotiations together with R&D for new designs.
• Handling end of life components in cooperation with R&D.
• Driving cost-cut projects on PCBA Components with R&D and Component Engineering.
• Monitoring supplier performance and driving supplier development and improvement initiatives.
• Ensuring material availability and lowest TCO for PCBA components.

• A degree in electrical engineering and relevant experience within strategic sourcing and category
• management as well as sourcing of electronic components.
• Experience with sourcing of electronic components is mandatory.
• Experience with negotiations and REACH, RoHS and conflict minerals.
• Good communication, networking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial attitude.
• Proficiency in English, written and spoken alike, whereas Swedish language knowledge is an advantage.
