Software Engineer Mainframe/Cobol i Sundbyberg, Vilnius

The cross functional team you will be joining is developing Swedbank's next generation of payment processing for international payments.

As a software engineer in our team you will work with maintenance and development in Cobol/Mainframe environment. The right person also has the opportunity to contribute to design and architecture of system solutions.
You will work together with our development teams, Business Analysts and the Agile Product Owner to create a collaborative environment in order to maximize the investments in the payments area.

You will be working with colleagues from both Sweden and the Baltic countries. You conduct your work the agile way, ensuring that we efficiently develop the right things with the goal to provide customer satisfaction and new business opportunities.

In this position you will:

• Contribute in all areas: analyse, design, develop, test and maintain services delivered by the team
• Proactively reduce the technical depts
• Solve and deploy solutions of incidents and problems
• Readiness to have on-call for the IT services developed and maintained by the team
• Participate and follow maintenance processes (incident, problem, event as applicable)
• Ensure quality awareness and care when designing, building and maintaining software
• Act as team player in the cross functional team and constantly improve the way of working

• z/OS development skills, that includes:
• COBOL
• IMS and/or CICS
• IMS/DB
• JCL
• (Optional) Tivoli scheduler
• (Optional) Changeman

Relation Database skills:

• SQL and DB2 specifics
• pureXML

Java development skills (optional)

Linux and WebSphere administrative skills (optional), that includes:

• Linux shell scripting skills
• WebSphere application management and basic concept understanding
• WebSphere configuration basics
