The newly established organization TV / Media is a priority business area within TeliaCompany that places a lot of resources behind the development of next generation TV solutions. Our consumer brands include TeliaTV, Telia Play, C More, MTV, TV4 Play and TV4.se. If you are interested in working with digital entertainment products with high volumes of traffic and great product potentials, then this is the place to be. Your work will directly affect more than one million of customers and many millions of prospects.

We work in a large platform and develop new functionalities in microservices architecture as well as relentlessly refactoring older parts of the platform. Our apps are running on all major device platforms: web, mobile apps, tablets, Apple TV and other SmartTV platforms. Your team will be focusing on feature development for web clients and the foundation layer serving our other client platforms. Our main web techs are React in the client and GraphQL on the server. You’ll work in a fast-paced, rewarding environment that has tight deadlines but with high team autonomicity. We require high quality, creativity, and consistency but we trust the team to make the right decision to deliver.

We believe you are a strong JavaScript engineer that is comfortable working both client and server side. Experience with streaming is not a necessity, but it’s something you would like to focus on.

In the role as javascript engineer you will:

• Build gorgeous user interfaces by working closely with our UX designers, in order to ensure that our customers get best service in class
• Write well-tested and maintainable code that will serve millions of our customers
• Spread the engineering vision in your team, participate in product planning
• Mentor junior and fellow engineers to advance into more technical responsibility areas
• Drive product/code quality, security and performance improvements throughout team. Help to establish and maintain development standards and practices.
