• As a System Design Engineer, your mission will cover several technical areas, which provide great opportunities for varied and developing work.
• Your main task will be to work with system design of our plants to assure highest quality and robustness.
• Your tasks will include main circuit design and related design studies as well as possibilities to perform power system studies to verify the plants’ performances in our customers’ networks.
• As our plants are built using advanced power electronics based upon the latest technology, we can offer great opportunities to strengthen your skills within converter technology and advanced automatic control.
• The role as System Designer is part of the foundation in our delivery projects and involves coordination and communication with all other disciplines involved. In your role you will also have close connection to research and development activities for our complete product portfolio.
• As Sweden is the global lead center for FACTS engineering within ABB, you will be in frequent contact with other engineering disciplines, sub-suppliers, project managers, customers and other ABB units in an international environment.

• You hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or similar.
• You may be experienced within power systems analysis, power semiconductor technology or substation design.
• Knowledge in the following programs and tools is qualifying: Matlab, PSCAD/EMTDC, DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSS®E.
• Your ability to work independently as well as in a team and to assume responsibility for given tasks, is a key to success.
• It is essential that you have good communication skills and can work in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
