The disposal of the power grid division to Hitachi will create a large number of new jobs. In this context, the function of the Regional Pension Manager was created.

The Regional Pension Manager oversees and actively manages all pension programs and similar long-term commitments with reference to employee benefits across the respective regional countries from an end-to-end-delivery perspective. This includes design, implementation, and the conceptual benefits delivery in accordance to legal requirements, and the corporate’s Pension & Benefits Governance Model and Strategy. • Systematically implements the global pension & benefits strategy in his/her region
• Promotes local pension schemes being compliant with the global pension strategy and instructions
• Benchmarking: Frequently evaluates the competitiveness of our pension plans against market practice
• Regularly monitors & analyzes the countries’ pension plans with reference to risk assessment, cost control and vendor service quality
• Fund/investment performance: mainly with reference to DC-Plans
• Fund performance: Collects and provides comprehensive information on fund performance versus benchmark reference
• DC-Investment Strategies: Evaluates and proposes suitable DC-Plan funding options and strategies catering specific challenges linked to retirement savings
• Monitors and follows up changes in legislation to ensure legal compliance of our pension scheme designs, operations, (regulatory) processes
• Plan Design Development: Recommends modifications to existing pension programs and new concepts and programs considering the points above.
• Manages the roll-out, implementation and continuous operation of global projects and initiatives that refer to pension and similar long-term commitment program in his/her region’s countries
• Ensures data comprehensiveness and accuracy of all existing pension and other similar long-term commitment plans to be reported in the Global Benefits Data Repository
• Stakeholder Management: Communicates and involves internal and external stakeholders on various levels with reference to the strategic and conceptual aspects of pension management in his/her region. This includes vendor management.
• Conceptually supports, aligns with, provides guidance and advice to GBS-HR to ensure an appropriate delivery of pension programs incl. employee communication strategy and concept.
• Supports the skill-set development of the subject GBS-HR on hub and country level; as required

• Holds an academic degree (minimum bachelor or similar) in Economics, Business & Administration, Law or comparable subject
• App. 2 to 3 years of experience in pension management in an international environment having a good understanding of the challenges, legislation, international accounting standards impacting pension landscape, co-determination/labor relation
• High confidence to work with IT tools/applications and strong skills to work with Microsoft Office applications; in particular, MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to effectively operate in a matrix organization and expertise in communicating across business units, functions and jurisdictions
• Strong end-to-end process thinking and analytical skills.
• Great team spirit to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
• Self-driven, collaborative, enthusiastic and inclusive; creating or responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs
• Fluency in spoken and written English
