At H&M it´s all about teamwork! You work at our Head Office in Stockholm, together with Buyers, Designers and Business Controllers, developing new collections for all H&M sales markets globally by assisting the Foot Wear Technologist in their daily work. 

Footwear Technologist Intern at H&M

Our team of expert Footwear Technologist ensure that H&M shoes meet customer expectation in terms of fit and quality, whilst being fashionable, at the best price and made in a sustainable way. As a Footwear Technologist intern you will support one of our teams in ladies, mens or kidswear with their footwear development. You will work as a part of a wider team made up of designers, buyers, a business controller and a section manager; as well as with our global production team.

You will work with our section timelines, to ensure that product is approved and reviewed in a timely manner. This will include you attending fit sessions, taking sample comments, measuring samples and models. Outside of fit session you will review and approve new last and outsole development with the footwear technologist. You will also work with returns and customer data to create a follow up plan of action of how best to continually improve our product. 

AUTUM student placement period is 6 mounts up on agreement starting 7^TH  September – aprox. 6^st March 2020

H&M is looking For …

• An interest in the technical aspects of shoes i.e lasts, outsoles, constructions, fit, quality etc. and desire to learn more in these areas.
• Graduating 2020 with a degree in Footwear design or Fashion Technology or any other relevant course.
• Enjoys teamwork in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Excellent communication skills via email, telephone and in person; which can help create strong relationships with team members from a global background
• Time management skills and the ability to priorities workload
• Good knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and the ability to quickly learn new inhouse IT systems
• An understanding of fashion retail as a business
• Previous experience of working with a retailer
