HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within ABB’s Power Grids division located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.

• Managing a team of project engineers and senior technical specialists within the area of optical communication and digital current transducers.
• The tasks of the team vary from:
• Handling customer requirements in tenders & delivery projects
• Product management and quality assurance
• Laboratory testing and specialist support in R&D

• You are an experienced leader
• You have genuine technical interest and thrives in an environment of technical challenges
• Previous experience from optoelectronics and mechanical design and manufacturing
• Fluency in English is mandatory and fluency in Swedish is beneficial
