Legal advisor to Group Risk Office i Sundbyberg

With rapidly increasing regulatory initiatives for the financial sector, we want to strengthen our risk governance team with a new co-worker ready to contribute with regulatory competence. You will manage referrals, analysis and implementation of external regulations and supervisory expectations within Group Risk´s area of responsibility. This includes finding best practice, practical solutions and efficient processes for both internal and external requirements.

You will assess and follow up on regulatory matters. Also, you will continue the development of Group Risk´s processes related to control of compliance risk for certain areas. Your will maintain and develop Group Risk´s steering documents, inter alia mandates and other governance documents. You will also manage, coordinate and develop the bank´s framework and process for stress testing and other processes within the team´s area of responsibility.

You will manage regulatory contacts in relation to the S-FSA and other supervisory authorities. This includes compiling material and acting as coordinator in relation to regulatory requests. You will work as advisor to Group Risk Management on governance and legal matters related to the risk area. This might include prepare and assist in committees or other risk fora meetings.

You will provide trainings and educational activities, participate in cross-border projects and represent the team in e.g. regulatory competence groups. You will work in a small team with senior specialists on governance, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and regulatory matters. The role, however, involves interaction with several units in the bank.

You have a legal background with a minimum five years of work experience. You have good knowledge of the regulatory environment for the financial sector, e.g. CRR and CRD IV. You possess analytic skills and can easily find practical and efficient solutions for implementation of external rules and guidelines.

Proactiveness and independent work is crucial for you to succeed. You possess excellent communication capabilities and you are used to take lead in development work. You also enjoy networking and have good social skills.

In a small team you need to be a team player and actively support your closest colleagues. Working within Team Risk Governance, you are expected to manage and improve the whole team´s area of responsibility.

You need to understand the need for structure, quality assurance, proper documentation and timely deliveries. You should also enjoy a fast-paced work environment.

Today, Group Risk Office consist of three teams which work together on risk governance, risk assurance and risk reporting to the Board, the CEO and executive management.

In a Group function, you will work towards the whole Group. This include entities in Swedbank´s four home markets (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden). Thus, you will gain good knowledge of the Group´s organization and international experience.
