Every year, millions of people die in traffic

Imagine thousands of children losing their parents. Imagine being the parent of a lost child. Imagine the countless suffering. Our mission is to ensure that our friends, families, and children are transported safely in autonomous cars.

How will we get there?

We currently develop a core communication, and processing platform with high performance- integrity and safety processors from world-leading suppliers such as Nvidia and Infineon. The core platform will have the capacity to carry hundreds of applications that enable a safe, efficient and electric autonomous drive.

We have collected some of the best engineers in the industry to Volvo Cars department for Core Systems. People die in traffic and you can make it stop.

Thesis Project
We build the AI- and electrification compatible platform on Nvidia Xavier, dual Infineon Aurix and develop real-time system Rust and C ++ 14 with automated tests in Robot Framework according to CI through HIL test rigs. During your thesis project, you will have a dedicated tutor who will have insight into technical details as well as project planning.

Requirements

• Planning thesis project on an MSc or BSc-level during spring or autumn within electronics, embedded systems, computer science or related.
• Eager Learner
• Intrapreneurial mindset
• Accepting and respectful
• English speaking and writing
• All ears for further employment in Volvo Cars (Gothenburg or Lund)
