What’s in it for you
Currently we are looking for an Engineer in building and construction. You will be responsible for rebuilding and that planned and running maintenance of Volvo Cars infrastructure is optimized. In your function you will be expert in your area and together with Facility Management property related services and project leaders you will be a part of providing Volvo Cars with facilities and infrastructure fit for our company purpose that encourage interaction.

This role reports to Senior Manager Facility Management Engineer and is also a part of FM Global Process Manage Facilities.

What you’ll do
In the role you will plan, drive, lead, coordinate and control setting 10-year strategic Engineering replacement plans in place and be a big part fulfil the projects that are initiated in the plan.

This function is part of the Global FM process, delivering FM engineering support, driving improvements and ways of working and setting the standards belonging to it.  A big part of this role is to build good networks with the other regions and our plants. It’s important keep updated, to analyse trends and technics within Building and Construction, working with KPIs and maintaining records for all work, updating systems data and making sure legal requirements are met.

You and your skills
We are looking for you who has a university degree and solid experience in building and construction. In addition to that, you have a strong understanding of maintenance concept/Asset management /Risk and processes as well as good knowledge of Volvo Car routines and processes. You have service management knowledge and applicable legal competence. Knowledge within Building construction, Purchase, Legal and Finance is desirable. As we are global organization, you also need to have excellent communication and presentation skills in English (both verbal & written).

On a personal side, you a strong communicator who has ability to build good relationships and cooperate cross functionally.  You have strong analytical capability and strong business Acumen in both efficiency and effectiveness. You are open to new ideas, you take initiatives and have high moral and integrity.  Last but not the least you act as a role model and show courage, judgement and persuasiveness at work.
