Inter IKEA Range & Supply, R&S, is a core business within Inter IKEA Group, responsible for developing and supplying the global IKEA range. IKEA of Sweden AB, or IoS, is one of two core units within Range & Supply, and is responsible for developing and determining the IKEA range and making it available to stores and customers all over the world. IoS is based in Älmhult – the heart of IKEA and the centre of IKEA range development and supply chain.

Marketing & Communication focuses on strategic development of the IKEA product and range marketing and communication, brand building communication as well as communication to the many people inside and outside of IKEA.
The starting point for Communication in Range & Supply is our business and people. Within Communication, we define, develop and share long-term brand-building communication around how we develop and supply our products and range, to create and reinforce a positive image of IKEA and to strengthen the commercial agenda. We use communication to build understanding, engagement and ambassadorship of where IKEA is heading and why, among co-workers, partners and customers across the IKEA network. As a Graphic Designer you will be part of the Communication Development team (Communication Production Hub) and one of for parts of Communication R&S. In your role you will combine creativity, story-telling and technology to create and develop persuasive, inspirational graphic communication that engages target audience and trigger commerciality by enhancing the IKEA Offer.
Together with the team and stakeholders, you will define and research incoming assignments and secure that the suggested solution meets the communication needs and purposes in the best way possible. This will require an analytical mindset and strong skills in boiling down issues and ideas to the relevant essentials. You will;
An important part of your role as Graphic Designer is to take lead in planning and studio phases and oversee that your contribution is in line with original intentions and within the budget framework to ensure the maximum effect of each investment. As a Graphic Designer you also ensure that all communication you plan and lead is in line with the IKEA Tone of voice. Apart from the running business you have an important role in contributing proactively in exploring and creating new ways of working, tools, methods and processes. You are updated on trends in technology and communication connected to layout design in both digital and print environment and you stay on top of all relevant guidelines and steering documents such as the IKEA Tone of voice and the IKEA culture and values.
You are an idea-driven, creative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas and concepts and passion for the aesthetics of systemising. You have a passion for design, media, fashion/retail, social, and cultural trends, and customer behaviour. You get energy from storytelling and you are enthusiastic about developing, changing, learning and sharing knowledge and experience by drawing, visualising and presenting ideas.
To be successful in this role we believe that you have an educational background in Graphic Design, art or visual communication and at least 3-5 years of working experience in an international agency (all media) or business environment, working with graphic arts, typography, artwork production and/or equivalent. You are stimulated by working in a fast-paced, creative and future-oriented environment and what’s more, we believe that you have the following knowledge, capabilities and motivation:
