Are you passionate about empowering developers to build experiences? We’re looking for a Senior JavaScript Engineer to join our SDK Tribe.
You will join our Web SDK squad, whose mission is to provide developers with high quality SDKs for web enabled platforms – supporting seamless playback, transport, event logging and more.
What you’ll do
- Help build Spotify’s JavaScript SDK, used in an ever-growing list of devices like voice speakers, TVs, and other web-enabled platforms
- Be an impactful contributor to the team to plan, design, and build elegant solutions
- You will collaborate closely with other engineers and teams, designing, implementing, and testing our JS-SDK on different sets of devices and platforms, with different constraints and requirements
- Bind our frontend and backend services together
- Monitor, test, and continuously optimize your designs
- Deliver testable, maintainable, and high-quality code
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts
- Work in an environment that supports your individual growth
- Share knowledge, evangelize best practices and collaborate as part of an experienced and high performing team
- Ensure that our customer’s experience is the very best it can be
Who you are
- You are experienced with modern JavaScript and/or TypeScript coding, testing, and debugging
- You understand and apply good API design practices, and enjoy building tools and libraries for other developers
- You are comfortable working in an agile environment, and are comfortable challenging yourself and your team to improve their ways of working
- You have experience with continuous delivery and automated testing
- You have a working understanding of object oriented and functional programming paradigms
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and can communicate your ideas
- You value team success over personal success
- A degree in Computer Science or a similar area and music experience are bonuses
You will be working from our awesome headquarter offices in central Stockholm. We offer relocation packages if you do not currently live in Sweden.
