We are looking for Credit Risk Model Analyst in Nordea Finance in Sweden, Finland and Denmark to improve the credit models and process using data. the objective be to enhancing credit models for example the LGD models and IFRS9 Collective Provisions models  and you will use your skills to increase automation in data gathering and ensuing data checking.  

We are in the process of building a strong team of analysts in our Global Credit Risk Management team. We have recently requited a strong basis in the analysis team but are looking to further strengthening our capabilities.

About this opportunity

Welcome to the Global Credit Risk Management team in Nordea Finance. We add value by improving quality of data to enhance credit models in Nordea Finance. As Credit Risk Model Analyst you’ll play a valuable role in helping Nordea Finance becoming compliant to Data Quality requirements from external stakeholders as ECB etc. ​

What you’ll be doing:

  • Understand and collate data required for the various models in Nordea Finance.
  • Explore opportunities to automate capture of data from internal and external sources (for example collection agency) and ensure data quality.
  • Collaborate closely with the Credit Risk Management teams to improve credit data.
  • Collaborate with the stakeholders in the Nordic Credit teams as well as Nordea Groups credit model teams.
  • Find solutions to complex business challenges.

You’ll join a ​team of independent, self-driven and very experienced Credit & Risk people. The roles are based in Sweden, Finland and Denmark where Nordea Finance has its presence.

Your experience and background:  

  • Should hold Bachelor or Masters in Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Management Science, or Data Science.
  • Should be strong on one or more programming languages, especially in statistical programming tools (for example: SAS, SQL, Python, R etc.). Must have experience with working with large data sets.
  • Understanding of Credit Risk will be an added advantage.
  • Good logical, analytical, number skills.
