Your role

Your challenge as a manager will be to continue the development and growth of the section together with the employees regarding operations as well as competence for the future. Most of the work is performed in projects together with other units within Saab, and as a manager you need to create and uphold good relations with these. The manager is part of the department management group and the continued development.


Responsibilities:

·         Responsibility for cost center budget and result

·         Personnel responsibility for the section including coaching, feedback, goals and development of individuals and team

·         Responsibility for development, improvements, and optimization of processes, methods and tools related to your area of responsibility

·         Responsibility for growth, strategy, targets, prognosis and follow up

·         Responsibility for recruitments, communication and information

Your profile

As a manager within the department, we are looking for a person that is driven, curious and structured in combination with great sense of responsibility. You are cooperative and bring forward new ideas with a strategic and larger perspective in mind and thrive in a business-driven environment.

You have a coaching approach and an interest in challenging your employees to develop based on their conditions and abilities. You are considered a good listener with the ability to motivate and enthuse individuals and teams to perform and contribute to the development of the business. At the same time, you are communicative and help to create a good working climate and good relationships.

Required skills:

·         B.Sc./M.Sc. (meritorious if for a technical education) or relevant work experience

·         Leadership experience (meritorious if within technical information)

·         Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written

This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.

What you will be a part of

Within business area you find business unit Gripen Support and this is where our department Technical Information is located. It consists of five sections of approximately 90 employees and our employees work within technical information development, training materiel, project management and technical support mainly for Saab products.
Instruction and Catalogues section's main responsibility is descriptive and airworthiness information for Gripen C/D and other Saab products. The descriptive information consists of general descriptions as well as detailed descriptions for different sub-systems including illustrations. The airworthiness information is line maintenance information and maintenance plans. Today the section consists of 20 employees located in Linköping.
