We are looking for an engineering manager in the Revenue Engineering area in the Financial Engineering mission, our R&D pillar of finance. You will lead a team that is enabling Spotify to quickly innovate on revenue opportunities while ensuring compliant and accurate financial processes within both the B2C and B2B domain.
You will be responsible for supporting the growth of engineers in the team, building a strong engineering culture and facilitating technical delivery. We will rely on you to work with your team on practices, execution and to coordinate with other teams across Spotify.
As a lead for strong engineers in R&D, technical leadership and a proven background in software development is a must, so that you’re able to provide guidance as well as challenge and grow your team members. You will have the opportunity to influence the culture, be accountable for technical delivery and work with your team on strategy and execution.
What you’ll do
- You will lead a team that builds and maintains data and backend solutions to facilitate the sales to invoice process processing millions of transactions daily and making sure we account for them correctly and timely.
- You will set a technical strategy for your team in a way that ladders up to the larger organisational strategy.
- Work closely with your team and external stakeholders to enable sustainable and timely delivery of technical solutions to address business needs.
- Facilitate multi-functional partnership between engineers, product managers, and designers to build innovative and user-friendly products.
- Advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices.
- You will work with the leadership to define big picture vision and strategy.
- You will be based in Stockholm, but occasionally travel globally if the need arises.
Who you are
- You love developing, coaching and growing people across different subject areas and crafts.
- You have led complex engineering efforts including analysis of requirements and scoping and know what it takes to deliver high-quality software with the team.
- You have at least 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
- You are adept at using agile methodologies for product development.
- Experience with financial processes and data processing are a plus.
