Full Stack React & Go Developer i Sweden

We are looking for full stack developers to join our team and help us out in building the best gaming platform in the world.

As a full stack developer at Trail you will work directly on our platform frontend and backend. The frontend currently consists of a React web app written in Typescript, which communicates with our backend services, mostly written in Go, through gRPC Web APIs.

As a small team we need people with initiative, focused on solving problems and ready to take on new challenges. We love building great products and we believe that is only truly possible when engineering and design work closely together. That is why we believe communication and a healthy dose of respect for other people's work and knowledge are essential. There is also ample opportunity to take on new responsibilities and learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the frontend and backend of our platform.

• Work closely with the design team providing them with feedback and proposing alternative solutions when required.

• Evaluate and communicate the pros, cons and costs of each potential solution or implementation.

Technical skills

• Backend: either a good knowledge of Go or professional experience writing backend code in other languages. Extra points for database knowledge, preferably PostgreSQL or SQL.

• Frontend: good knowledge of Javascript or, preferably Typescript. Experience writing client-side web apps, preferably based on React. And, of course, a solid understand of HTML, CSS and other basic web technologies.

• Have experience working with source control, preferably Git.

• Knowledgeable about modern web technologies such as WebSockets, WebRTC, WebAssembly, WebGL, etc.

Soft skills

• Good at communicating, you enjoy teaching and explaining things to other developers.

• Pragmatic, curious and not afraid of hard problems.

• Respectful of other people's skills and knowledge.

Other requirements

• Able to work full-time.

• Able to work from our office in Stockholm.
