Join a market leader
Our bakery in Hvidovre is the largest bakery in Denmark in both volume and numbers of employees. We are approximately 350 employees counting both production, distribution, and administration, here of around 140 people in production, including maintenance, and cleaning. 36,000 tons of bread are handled at the location each year, and we bake rye as well as wheat bread, toast, sandwich, and buns on 5 production lines. All with natural ingredienses.

It's about baking the future
The overall objective for the Plant Manager is to ensure stable and reliable supply while continuously improving the performance and collaboration of the site. That being said, we stand out by producing and delivering freshly baked bread 24/7/365, which acquires a true sense of urgency and agility at all given times, as we produce only to forecasts and not orders.

You will challenge us in the way we do things, and through your commercial mindset and innovative ideas you take lead in improving our processes to work smarter and secure the best possible result for Schulstad always with a holistic view in mind.

You will join the country middle management team, referring to our Operations Director.

Your success will be measured in safety execution, customer satisfaction, OEE, Conversion cost per tonne, Production Waste, Labour cost per tonne, Energy usage per tonne, and Machine and Support costs. But most important of all: Baking is a people business, and we run our daily business by the saying: Business in mind, people at heart.

Your background
You have proven yourself as an inspiring leader, and you enjoy having impact, setting the strategic direction and the pace of ambitious initiatives in a quickly changing environment, and you never compromise on quality.

You might hold an Engineering degree, MSc or similar and have several years of relevant experience from a FMCG and/or regulated process industry, which has given you a solid business understanding and experience with production management including maintenance, optimizing cost efficiency, formal leadership, CI and project management, and a track record of result making with execution of manufacturing KPIs. Maybe you have held a position as Maintenance Manager and are ready to take the next step.

You are robust, performance driven and persistent in your ways of working and capable of leading change. It motivates you to continuously look for ways to improve and optimize how we manage our production and supply chain.

As you will be dealing with a lot of different stakeholders, it is essential that you enjoy creating and maintaining relations and share knowledge within all levels of the organization.

You are also skilled at presenting complex information and decision material in a simple and clear manner. You have proficiency in both written and spoken Danish and English.
