Global Digital Media Development Manager

Are you a marketer with strong marketing technology background? Are you digital media savvy and experienced at developing marketing technology strategies and data driven digital media?  Are you interested in setting the direction in digital media development for one of the largest fashion brands in the world? We are looking for a Digital Media Development Manager to join H&M Global Media team.  Are you the one we are searching for?

H&M’s Marketing & Communication department is located in Stockholm and supports 74 countries around the world. We have the strategic and operational responsibility to build the H&M brand, both internally and externally and are set up in cross functional Account teams that support H&M’s Business Units. The Global Media team is part of H&M’s global Marketing & Communication function and focuses on building brand awareness and preference, secure reach for H&M’s campaigns, drive traffic and increase sales through performance media, with the help of different media channels and follow up on KPI’s.


What you will do:

As Global Digital Media Development Manager for H&M, you will be responsible for securing the strategy and foundational tools, enablers and media tech architecture for H&M digital media to effectively and safely operate across all paid digital media channels today and tomorrow. You will be collaborating with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally; you will be working especially closely to the H&M Business Tech organization as a key daily partner. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Setting H&M global digital media tech development strategy in close collaboration with the H&M Business Tech organization.
  • Recommending and drive key enablers and Martech architecture for data driven, digital media.
  • Enabling channel owners with the latest channel specific opportunities, by mobilizing data and/or delivering a technical pathway.
  • Setting future media development needs and innovation strategy globally.
  • Primary point of contact and business expert towards H&M Business Tech organization. You will be a core member of their product teams.
  • Securing foundations are in place for continued excellence within brand safety and GDPR compliance.
  • Supporting key markets and regions in enabling effective digital media with the right enablers.
  • Supporting H&M global media team in Martech & data driven media related projects and topics.
  • Supporting key digital development projects for H&M globally.
Who you are:

We believe that you are a highly strategic, analytical and business minded person, results oriented, with deep understanding of all disciplines of Marketing & Communications. You have an excellent knowledge of digital, data driven media and technology.  You have good knowledge of the digital media mix including social media walled gardens, Google properties, display advertising etc.  You are up-to-date on current innovations and the future trends within media.   As a person you are true team player able to drive change in a collaborative way.

We also believe that you:
  • Have a higher education within Marketing and /or Media
  • Have minimum 7 years of experience working in digital media
  • Have a strong background in Marketing Tech, digital media development and innovation.
  •  Have a strong experience is utilization of key media tech tools and good knowledge of the major suppliers worldwide (i.e. Tag Management, DSP’s, MMM, MTA, Data Onboarding, Ad Serving, Data Unification Platforms, DMP/CDP).
  • Have international experience. A good understanding of Asia and Chinese digital landscape is highly meriting for the role.
  • Have strong strategic thinking, business sense and leadership skills.
  • Are structured, result-driven and experienced with successfully working with several stakeholders
  • Are able to communicate complex information in an understandable, encouraging and engaging way towards different stakeholders.
  • Are fluent in English, both spoken and written
