As Spotify continues its goal of becoming the world’s number one audio platform, the number and diversity of revenue streams are increasing as well, both in terms of scale and complexity.
Revenue Engineering is a product area consisting of four squads tasked with delivering innovative solutions to enable quicker go to market at the same time ensuring that financial transactions are accurately and automatically processed.
You will join a team responsible for enabling faster revenue stream onboarding.
We are looking for a business oriented engineer that is able to use a variety of technologies to build stable solutions for complex data problems.
What you’ll do
- Work closely with our finance stakeholders and many upstream data providers.
- Build solutions using a variety of data sources and API’s.
- Work extensively with Google Cloud Platform and technology.
- Work in an agile environment, in coordination with New York and Stockholm teams.
Who you are
- You are well versed in the finance domain. Meaning you have an understanding of Basic accounting, Tax, and Financial planning and analysis
- You have excellent stakeholder management skills and are able to transform fuzzy requirements to clear system designs.
- Well versed with the SQL language and relational databases.
- Experience with building integrations with third-party API’s.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages (Scala, Java or Python).
- Experience with BigQuery or other column oriented data warehouses.
- You are a self-motivated individual contributor and great teammate with the ability to multitask, prioritize and communicate progress in a rapidly changing environment.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau or Looker.
- Experience with Google Cloud dataflow, Scala and Scio/Apache beam.
- Experience with Jupyter notebooks.
