About ALEQUI

Founded by two ex-Googlers, ALEQUI is a data-driven mobile first brand with a mission to modernize equestrian clothing and equipment. The equestrian world is mostly occupied by legacy brands with traditional styles that haven’t changed in a long time. ALEQUI aims to challenge existing players with functional clothing, a more modern look and conscious fashion. 

Up until recently we were focusing on equestrian equipment only. However, since launching our first line of clothing this summer we noticed an increased demand for this segment and it will be our primary focus going forward. 

Re-shaping the brand

We are in the middle of a rebranding process aiming to move away from the traditional equestrian look and position ourselves in the intersection between sports and fashion. As a Creative Design Intern, you will have a lot of responsibility in shaping the brand's visual identity across all channels. Ideally, you will also be giving input on clothing design and creating designs in Adobe illustrator. 

What you could be doing

Take great responsibility and initiate new ideas for ALEQUI’s  visual identity that speaks modern premium equestrian fashion

Develop graphical brand assets, templates and filters that can be used across all our customer touch points and marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, advertising, packaging

Ideally, you have experience in fashion design and can be part of the design process of our new clothing line. Giving suggestions for designs and creating them in Adobe illustrator.  

Write creative copy with well thought through execution for social media and newsletters

Length: 3 months, full-time - depending on performance an extension may be possible

The ideal profile

Has experience in digital/visual design and/or clothing/fashion design

Excellent visual design, interaction design and user experience skills

Experience in designing websites, preferably in woocommerce

Knowledge of basic HTML

Knowledge of adobe suite (photoshop, indesign, illustrator) 

Knowledge of video editing 

Experience in photography and retouching images  

Ability to clearly articulate and communicate design decisions

Proven design experience that demonstrates exceptional creativity

Experience in designing high quality interfaces, design systems and experiences

Excellent communication and storytelling skills

Interest for fashion and e-commerce

The ideal candidate understands that we are an early stage startup and tasks will vary, ranging  from senior creative tasks such as designing a clothing line to basic editing of photos in photoshop to editing email campaigns (visually and with copy) and so on.
