Are you up for a challenge? Are you a Data Engineer skilled in Microsoft Azure Analysis Services and Power BI Premium Imported-models? If the answer is "Oh Yes!” this opportunity might be something for you. We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Data Engineer to join our KPI Steering Product. You will have a key role in developing and designing our Analytics capabilities, that will be used across the company.

You will work in a product called KPI Steering that work cross Business Tech and is a part of the supporting function Strategic Planning & Steering. Our team is responsible to enable steering through a measurable common view and to be become fully data driven.

About the job

 

As a data engineer on of your main objectives will be to have a key role in delivering value to a fast phased and high-demanding business. You will take full ownership of the architecture, quality and related processes of our data and data pipelines. Together with the Product Area Managers, Product Owners and Lead Engineers you will solve problems, drive critical requirements, lead design reviews and provide feedback on architectural recommendations, while building scalable and reliable services. Furthermore, you will transform business information into actionable reports and visualizations together with the team.

You will build a strong understanding of how our business processes create the data, how it is cultivated and used and how it all fits together. We believe you have previous experience in implementing ways to further improve data efficiency, reliability and quality, data architecture and modelling. We hope you appreciate working in autonomous teams, have a hands-on attitude and believe that no challenge is too big if we have the right support and tools in place.

You will deliver exceptional customer and business results and value to our organisation by developing solutions to help our domains make the right strategic and operational decisions. Furthermore, except from having a strong understanding in working with large and complex data, we believe you can translate and communicate data and its implications to various stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, we believe you are a team player, good communicator, eager to learn and to contribute. You have a humble approach and understand the importance of asking the right questions in order to bring value to the work at hand, as well as the whole organisation.

Your responsibilities consist in but are not limited to:

  • Participate in the analysis and understanding of business requirements and assure that the solution meets both business- and technical- requirements, as well as translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Responsible for designing and set up of integrations to a full data warehouse solution
  • Responsible for both short term and long-term solution of the platform and system
  • Take part in the development of architectural guidelines and standards together with the system architects

Your Skills and Abilities

  • Several years’ experience of development of data warehouses and business intelligence solutions, preferably in the Microsoft-suite or Data Warehouse appliances
  • Strong understanding in working with large and complex data sets​
  • Setting up data models in Power BI Premium
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Analysis Services is a plus
  • Solid software architecture skills
  • Ability to communicate and explain data and its implications to various stakeholders ​
  • Ability to evaluate different options proactively and ability to solve problems in an innovative way
  • Experience working in agile teams, and using supporting tools such as JIRA/ServiceNow
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Swedish is a plus

Tools used

  • Our solution is built on Microsoft BI Technology using SSIS, SSMS, SSAS, and moved to the Microsoft Azure PaaS development framework for analytics and business intelligence
