C# Developer - Tech Lead i Stockholm

We are now looking for a C# Developer to fulfil the role of Tech Lead for the C# SDK Team within Paradox DevOps. 

Comprising 8 Teams, the DevOps department is responsible for the Paradox Ecosystem which provides a variety of services and products to Paradox’s various Game Studios. These products and services include the Paradox Account service, Paradox Mods, social/player features (leaderboards, cloud saves, forums, etc.), the Paradox Store, the Paradox Game SDK, and much more!

The SDK Team’s primary responsibility is the development and maintenance of the Paradox Game SDK which is used by both our internal game teams and, externally, by our game partners. The scope of the SDK is wide, supporting every technology, platform and game engine in use by Paradox published games. The SDK is used for interacting with all of our online services, as well as local file handling, caching, parsing, and state management.

As Tech Lead (TL) for the Team, you will have expert knowledge in Software Development, with at least 6 years commercial experience in C#.. You are able to work with little or no guidance and can be relied upon to provide solutions to complex problems. Paradox will also expect you to act as a role model both within your Team and in dealing with other Teams. You enjoy seeing your team members develop and will actively coach and mentor them.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading the Game SDK development, including code optimization & refinement
  • Software design and architecture
  • Service integrations and 3rd party library/SDK integrations
  • Planning, implementation, packaging, documentation, and delivery of our SDK

The skills & technologies you need to have:

  • At least 6 years C# proficiency
  • A track record in either leading, coaching or mentoring Developers or Teams.
  • Desktop application development (OSX, Linux, Windows)
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain team practices such as automated unit testing, code reviews and coding standards

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Build and release management
  • Unity or Unreal game engine experience
  • Mobile and/or Console development experience 
  • Deep understanding and appreciation of Agile methodologies

You are also flexible; you can be the one who identifies viable solutions and implements appropriate solutions or you will be enabling others, through coaching and mentoring, to do so.

Your English communication skills are excellent, which are backed by taking the time to understand others as well as in explaining yourself.
