The Studio Group Operations Manager (SGOM) is responsible for developing and driving projects related to the Studio Organization of Paradox Interactive. There are currently nine internal development studios in the organization. Projects range from overseeing the onboarding and integration of newly acquired studios to execution of initiatives that aim to improve processes and ways of working. 

The SGOM reports to and works very closely with the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Paradox Interactive. Other main stakeholders are Studio Managers, Studio Operations Managers and other departments that collaborate with internal development studios. The SGOM is also an integral part of studio-level strategy and development. 

This is an organic role that will evolve and bring new challenges as the Paradox Studio Organization evolves. As a close liaison to the internal development studios, you know them by heart, always working towards the shared benefit of them and Paradox as a whole.

As Paradox development studios are based in many different places globally (currently Sweden, Finland, Netherlands, France, Spain and US West Coast) travel will be part of the job.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the Studio Operations Council, which consists of representatives from all internal studios and aims to improve processes throughout the studio group.
  • Organizing and leading the team of Thought Leaders across the globe; a knowledge sharing and training initiative across studios and Paradox Interactive, relating to processes, organization, culture and management.
  • Lead the effort of successfully onboarding and integrating newly acquired studios to make the experience as smooth as possible for both studio leadership and employees
  • Take part in the M&A Due Diligence process by evaluating possible targets in terms of organization, development processes, leadership and other areas related to studio operations.
  • Ensure that studios develop, update and follow their Business Plans, aligned with Paradox Interactives high-level vision and goals.
  • Set and drive standards for studio Quarterly Business Reviews, reporting and follow up, roadmaps for their long-term growth and development
  • Plan and execute on projects related to the Studio Organization of various scope and size
  • Act as stand in for COO in contacts with the studios and in relation to other departments at Paradox Interactive

Requirements

  • Experience in management of an organization, department or team
  • Experience working with stakeholder management
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Great understanding of how to achieve studio goals and how to develop the organization for future success
  • Business minded and with a strong will to improve and make others improve
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
