Analyst, IT operations/Fund Reporting, Asset Management, Stockholm

We are seeking a new team member who wishes to combine an interest in finance with IT tools and methods to deliver Nordea Asset Management’s fund related data needs. This is an opportunity to join a team of finance and IT experts who strive daily to provide the best data deliveries to the Asset Management business. As a member of the Fund Reporting team you will combine your understanding of finance and programming skills to generate and enhance data so that the team can support the data needs of the business and satisfy our regulators and most importantly our clients.

What you’ll be doing:

• Production and distribution of key estimated flow reports to fixed deadlines throughout the day
• Overseeing the flow of automated reports
• Monitoring the production platform and resolving problems that arise
• Verification of significant fund flows
• First point of entry for stakeholder support on behalf of the Fund Reporting team
• Production of regular and ad hoc data deliveries utilizing IT code and SQL querying
• Proactive in developing new concepts and new reporting data needs such as ESG reporting

The team is a centralized unit of eight employees based in Stockholm which serves stakeholders in all Nordic countries as well as Luxemburg.

You are ambitious and have completed your degree within the last couple of years. Furthermore you are structured and can consistently deliver high quality deliveries in a demanding environment to set deadlines.

To succeed in this role, we feel you should have the following qualification, technical skills and experience:

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in IT/Data Sciences/Engineering/Finance/Economics or similar
• Superior academic achievements

Technical skills

• Fluency in a Nordic language
• Professional level proficiency in English
• Rudimentary knowledge of IT programming particularly Python
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially MS Excel

Experience

• Prior experience of programming and data querying is highly valued
• Exposure to the financial industry is a plus, however, a fundamental knowledge of and strong interest in financial markets as well as the Asset Management industry is expected
• Knowledge of statistical models used in finance is an advantage
• Proactive and self-driven with an ability to take ownership of assignments
• A strong communication with excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders across different functions and countries.
