What you’ll do
Volvo Cars is looking for a Technical Product Manager, to lead the product team responsible for our Car Configurator Engine. The team is responsible for building a platform which provides car configuration and data efficiently and as fast as possible. You will play an instrumental role in Volvo Cars’ transformation towards becoming a company where all cars are sold online. 

The Car Configurator Engine’s job is to calculate, collate, and distill thousands of billions of combinations, and present them to consuming applications in a standardized way. For our customers to understand our cars, simplicity, availability and response time in the Car Configurator Engine is critical, and the team takes pride in using cutting edge technology to achieve this. Experience with federated graphs, microservices, polytopes, ILP-solvers, asynchronous communication, and kubernetes is therefore an advantage.

You will be part of a high performing product team consisting of engineers, testers, analysts, and a delivery lead. You will develop product strategy and define product roadmap based on an integrated understanding of customer behavior, business direction, local market needs, anticipated market trends and possibilities in technology. You will communicate strategy and roadmap to stakeholders and your product team, getting input and buy-in. 

You will develop the long-term product vision, tactical product release strategy, and drive the advancement of our technology – working closely and collaboratively with other key functions within Volvo Cars.

You And Your Skills
To succeed, we believe that your background and skills include:

• Leading and driving product strategy as a tech lead, engineering manager, product owner, product manager, or equivalent for a minimum of 5 years.
• Strong understanding and practical experience of agile development methodologies in digital product teams.
• Experience with using various tools for managing and visualizing the progress and value of a product team.
• High integrity and a bias for action will make you successful in this role.
