We are building up Volvo Cars online sales capabilities and driving the shift towards direct consumer sales. Our aim is clear – to provide customers with modern, flexible and hassle-free ways to own a car, whether through a Care by Volvo subscription, lease, loan or cash. In the position of Global SEO Lead, you will build a team of talented SEO specialists. Volvo Cars is a strong brand, but we need your help to make the most of its possibilities and get the rest of the organization with us on this exciting journey.

What you will do

You will be developing the SEO strategy for Volvo Cars globally by building and managing a team that works with:

• Keyword research
• Competitor analysis
• Optimization of website content
• Technical site improvements
• Off-page optimization (backlink profile, etc.)
• Analysis and reporting (rankings and traffic)

This includes setting processes and plans for working with the above and making sure Volvo Cars is up to date on the latest changes within SEO. And also share your team’s knowledge within the company.

To succeed, we believe that your background and skills include:

• Proven experience as Head of SEO, SEO Manager, or a similar role
• Experience from leading a team of experts and strong organizational and leadership skills
• Deep technical SEO knowledge
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Experience to work with relevant tools (e.g. SEMrush, Ahref, Screaming Frog, Moz) and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics & Google Search Console)

You also need to be a strong relationship builder with the ability to work towards senior stakeholders with excellent communication skills in English and if you speak additional languages, we consider it merit. You have an analytical mindset with numerical aptitude which gives you a good ability to plan, manage and execute work within complex topics and projects. We believe you to be bold, have integrity and always keep the customer top of mind.
