What you´ll do

The Insurance Business Analyst is a role providing analytical insights, predictions and support to Volvo Cars online sales and the insurance function. Your main responsibilities will be to monitor and analyze our insurance programs in all GOX markets.

This is a position for a person who likes to work hands on in a transformative and cross-functional environment with the freedom to develop new reporting models or enhance current governing methods with our insurance partners. 

You will:

• be part of an empowered insurance team with the freedom to innovate for the future success of Global Online Experience at Volvo Cars. An important part of the job is the opportunity to be involved in shaping and contributing in building the way forward as we go.  
• analyze, predict, and constantly follow up insurance claims statistics and total cost and act as subject matter expert within Volvo Cars. 
• be expected to identify and utilize insurance trends and opportunities in the insurance market and proactively suggest and prioritize actions for lower cost, improved efficiency and improved customer value related to insurance.
• collaborate with cross-functional business units and stakeholders to understand company needs and devise possible solutions to support business strategy and decisions.
• create new reports/dashboards to support monitoring and governance of our insurance portfolio performance.

You and your skills

We are looking for someone with strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills, with high interest in details, data & analytics, but at the same time the ability to see the bigger picture and translating data analytics into directional presentations, findings, and business requirements. You need the ability to develop data-driven insights through internal data sets while connecting external, public data. We are looking for a strong team player that understands the importance of cross-functional collaboration. To succeed in this role, we believe you experience, and skills includes:

• Working experience within business intelligence and analytics.
• A degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent English is a must.

Our ideal candidate will also have:

• Minimum 3-5 years of working experience from the insurance sector and underwriting or pricing skills in motor insurance.

• Experience working with data visualization dashboard development in for example Power BI.
