You will be a part of The Agile Release Train (ART) Hardware & Mechatronics is responsible for the audio, infotainment, wireless and antenna hardware within the car. The hardware and mechatronics we provide is the prerequisite for all connected applications and services within the vehicle.

What you´ll do

Your product ownership covers the various telematics hardware in the connected car. The hardware provides several wireless technologies such as 5G/V2X/BLE/GNSS as well as an application execution environment.

You enjoy an extra challenge as the product teams are also securing that they are frontline within wireless technology development as they participate in and contribute to internal and external research projects. For example, to enhance existing and develop new verification methodologies.

You will as Product Owner be part of the product teams and evolve the product towards the future needs of Volvo Cars.

In this role you are excepted to drive the work with stakeholders to understand the product purpose and development needs, contribute to the creation of user stories, prioritize them in the team backlog and not least secure that the acceptance criteria are met.

Furthermore, you will participate as a member in the extended Product Management team and review and contribute to the program-level vision and roadmap. 

Do you fit the profile?

You are a person that have adopted a Lean Agile mind-set and can collaborate well with Volvo Cars internal stakeholders. We expect you to have a proven record of accomplishment when working with defining what makes a great user experience and communicating that to the development team. 

Further you have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. We are looking for you who have several years of work experience with electronics/mechatronics product development, preferable within the wireless and automotive industry and are skilled within one or several wireless technologies. In addition, you have in a leading role interacted with suppliers and therefore you know how to drive progress and collaborate with the supplier. You are also fluent in English, both verbally and written.
