Role You must love working with numbers and data, iterating quickly between business questions and insights. You will be the first analyst at Vinter, working in a team of developers and data engineers. At Vinter, you won’t be a small cog in a big machine, instead, you will work in a small team and have a massive impact on the company. You will be involved with creating new indexes, based on your own research or client requests. The creation process requires thorough analysis and visualization together with the engineering team and the CEO. Existing index methodologies are available on https://vinter.co/portfolio and https://methodology.vinter.co/ Your main job is to analyze financial data, creating tables and graphs. The analysis is a crucial component of product research in deciding which index the client will get. Also, once the index is decided this output is used by our clients when pitching their investment products. Essential experience * You must have experience working with economic or financial data in excel, using pivot tables and charts. * You must be excellent at communicating your findings in plain writing. Beneficial experience: * Basic knowledge of SQL and/or python. * Willingness to learn more SQL and/or python on datacamp.com to grow your skillset as an analyst. * Interest in the cryptocurrency market. * Academic degree in a relevant subject like statistics, economics, finance. Start date As soon as possible, the earlier the better, although no later than Nov 30th. Interview process The interview process will consist of video meetings, case studies with programming, and email conversations. There will be no brain teasers or IQ tests. Instead, we strive to make the interview process similar to how it would be to work at Vinter. Tools and tech stack We embrace new technology. You are free to play around with new tools, and we think you will use some of the following tools to get your job done: * Asana.com for requesting data from the data engineers * Metabase.com for fetching data (using the GUI or SQL) * Excel and google sheets for analyzing data. * Google docs for writing findings and communicating results.
