At Procurement, you are part of a global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Ensuring the supply of materials and services – at the right cost, quality and technology – is essential for the success of Volvo Car Group. Ultimately, it's all about cooperating with people inside and outside the company to create a superior experience for the people who buy and drive a Volvo. 
 
The products we buy in the Exterior Accessories Team are roof boxes, towing hooks, bicycle carrier and many other accessory components for our cars. As a category buyer you will have the global responsibility to coach the team from setting the strategies, making the sourcing´s, launching programs, supplier maintenance and commercial performance of your supplier portfolio.

You are a prestigeless team player with excellent networking abilities and strive for cross-functional cooperation.  With your passion for identifying, enabling and creating new solutions you also see new business opportunities in this field. You are known to always take ownership of your deliveries and have a strong strategic mindset.
To perform these missions, you will do both administrative, analytic and strategic/tactical actions on a daily basis. We strive to follow the Agile way of working guided by the SAFe framework. 
You possess a strong business acumen with an understanding of the many dimensions of business issues while having the ability to make sense out of complexity, including legal and contractual aspects. You have a commercial experience and enjoy negotiating and challenge the suppliers, always with great respect and a focus on achieving win-win agreements.
