What you’ll do 

You will be developing front-end software for consumer-facing and internal products across more than 100 countries. We build the end-to-end experience for online sales/subscriptions of cars, global campaigns as well as frameworks for other parts. Your responsibilities will include rapid development of prototypes/concepts, and regular product development.

Our current stack for building web user interfaces and frontends includes, but is not limited to, JavaScript, VCC-UI (Volvo Cars proprietary react framework), React,  Typescript, Node.js and GraphQL. You will contribute to building an innovative car ownership experience. Our Continuous Integration and Delivery pipeline are built on top of Docker, Jenkins, and Spinnaker, so you will be able to deliver value and innovation to car owners daily. 

You and your skills 

We expect you to have experience building modern web apps, user interfaces, and frontends and have strong knowledge of the Web Platform (JavaScript, HTML, and CSS) and Software Engineering practices. Also, you understand the challenge and value of building consistent, responsive, resilient and accessible UI.  We want people with a growth and learning mindset, therefore we don’t expect you to have knowledge of all the tools, concepts and technologies that we use. Instead, we expect you to have an attitude towards acquiring the knowledge necessary to do your work.
