We are now searching for an experienced Team Manager with perceptive leadership skills.

What we do
Our agile release train (ART), Seats & Safety, is an ART within the solution Vehicle Tophat. We consist of 21 internal and external agile teams with the responsibility to develop mechanical hardware, electronics, SW and functions for following products: Airbags, Steering Wheels, Seat Belts, Child Safety and Seats.

The ART work in a truly global organisation working together with 2 agile teams in China.
We are an agile organisation under constant development, and you will have a great chance to make influence on our way forward. We work in close cooperation within the ART but also with our network and this is a great opportunity for you to develop new relations. You will work in an environment that is prestige less with focus on what´s best for the ART´s components and systems.


What you will do
As a Team Manager you will be a servant leader for your teams, and you will collaborate closely with the team’s Product Owner (PO) and Scrum Master (ScM) to assure good leadership and alignment in your support to the teams. You will support your team members in their everyday work by being present and attentive to their needs and will guide and coach them in agile development. In addition, you shall support the team to solve impediments and escalate them when needed. 
In this role, you will continuously work with competence and team development, and you will recruit skilled individuals in line with identified competence needs. You will be responsible for the employees’ work environment according to defined tasks and for all HR employee related processes (e.g., salary setting, appraisals, goal setting). Moreover, you as a Team Manager will in close collaboration with procurement support suppliers to become a part of our agile development. Part of your role consists of attending ceremonies and formal procedures (such as demos, PI planning, retrospectives) and support team celebrations for team achievements.


In your role as a Team Manager, you will actively work with continuous improvements related to your area of responsibilities (e.g., tools, IT, flow, ways of working). You will participate in technical discussions and actively guide and coach the teams. Furthermore, you will safeguard long term technical strategies in close collaboration with the System Architects and POs.


What you need to bring with you?
We believe that you are a person who possesses a high level of integrity and professionalism and has an aspired leadership style. Since you will be a manager for people, you should be a team player with a flexible mind-set who have great cooperation and communication skills. We believe that you have a positive attitude and the ability to work with continuous improvements. You should furthermore have a high courage and personal energy to drive others. 


We see that you have an engineering background, university degree or equivalent experience in the concerned area as well as documented leadership skills. You should have experience of automotive engineering preferable with experience from seat development. We see also that you understand Volvo Product Development processes. Fluency in English written and spoken, as well as a Drivers’ license B are required for this role.
