About the position:

Being a part of Sodexo Supply Management team in Sweden you will contribute to delivering sustainable sourcing solutions to grow our business. Our goal is to deliver value to all business lines of Sodexo through quality improvements, minimized risk, sustainable sourcing, innovation and cost savings.   

You will be part of a team made up of Category Buyers, Segment Supply Managers and Operational buyers focusing on Facility Management and Indirect categories. Engaging with Global/European buyers is also a part of your work.

This role combines both strategic and tactical work and your main responsibilities will involve category management work, locally and globally, as well as supporting our Operations in tactical procurement and client tenders. Internal and external stakeholder management is an important part of your day-to-day work.

To succeed you will build a strong expertise across the categories managed as well as regarding Sodexo’s client base, needs and spend. A natural part of your work will be to initiate and support continuous improvements and contribute to the Supply Management transformation roadmap.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Category Management – about 50% of your time – more Strategic work
  • Supporting our Operations with tactical procurement – about 50% of your time

Category Management:

  • Develop and implement category strategies
  • Drive category management activities to improve commercial performance, deliver innovation and support sustainability targets whilst maintaining compliance and mitigating risks
  • Ownership and delivery of category and contract targets in annual Supply Management budget (savings and revenues)

Tactical Procurement:

  • Drive activities to improve efficiency and commercial competitiveness for operations e.g. through local tenders, spend analysis and compliance follow-up
  • Support in selected sales tenders and mobilization projects to minimize risk and ensure best possible leverage of existing preferred suppliers and contracts
  • Educate and support operational stakeholders in local contracting, change requests, complaints etc.

Who you are

You have a strong business mind, an open personality and strong communication & networking skills. You get motivated by being part of a transformation journey and continuous improvements are a natural part of your work as well as striving to increase profitability and growth.

This will be a challenging role, with ambitious cost savings and efficiencies to be met whilst driving improvements and operational support. Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills will be required to be truly effective in this position. You will need to be able to consider the different operational requirements and business needs when prioritizing own work, e.g. category management vs. tactical support.

You have an academic degree or similar, experience from procurement and a proven track record of stakeholder management. Experience in buying/Category Management within FM/Indirect categories is preferable.

Last but not least, you are a team player that likes to combine high ambition and results with having fun at work.
