Sandvik Process Systems (SPS) is a fast-growing product area within Sandvik Group. Our operations focus on endless-strip steel belts in stainless and carbon materials, as well as steel-belt-based process solutions. Our customers are found in many segments, primarily within the wood, chemical and food processing industries. We have approximately 600 employees in 35 countries generating global sales close to 2 billion SEK. Recently, Sandvik has entered an agreement to divest our operations, and this creates a unique opportunity for us to build up a brand new tax function.

Therefore, we are now looking for a Head of Tax to be a part of this journey by taking the lead in the development of frameworks, processes, governance and conditions in the area of tax, with the goal of maximizing shareholder value and protecting Sandvik Process Systems’ brand and reputation. The location for this position is Sandviken, Sweden, and you report directly to the CFO.

Job Summary
In your role as Head of Tax, you have the overall responsibility for taxes, including for indirect taxes within the entire group. You ensure that all tax policies and procedures are in line with Sandvik Process Systems’ business requirements, and you manage and control risks in tax matters and ensure that we always organize our business to meet global standards and regulations. By defining, guiding and monitoring compliance and technical standards in tax related matters, you make it possible for internal stakeholders to follow internal and external requirements. We work as a lean team in the head office, where flexibility and close cooperation are important.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a law or business degree and extensive experience from working within the area of tax – at least five years in an industrial company. You have a good understanding of tax management and international tax, including transfer pricing and indirect taxes, and we also expect you to be skilled in tax accounting and the technology supporting this area. Your seniority and well-developed abilities in change management also benefit your success in this role. Lastly, as we act in a truly global setting, your communication skills in English must be excellent, both verbally and in writing.
