Sandvik Process Systems is a fast-growing product area and our operations focus on endless-strip steel belts in stainless and carbon materials, as well as steel-belt-based process solutions. Our customers are found in many segments, primarily within the wood, chemical and food processing industries. We have approximately 600 employees in 35 countries, generating global sales close to 2 billion SEK.
Recently, Sandvik has entered an agreement to divest our operations, and this creates a unique opportunity for us to create a brand new IT infrastructure. We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Manager to join us on this journey. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be a part of creating something new in a truly global setting with many possibilities. The location for this position is Sandviken, but some international travel is also required.
Job Summary
As Infrastructure Manager, you are responsible for both the tactical and the operational IT infrastructure. Our function covers 35 countries, everything from networking to end-user computing via IT security, which means that your role is varied and truly global. Creating and maintaining a well-functioning infrastructure comes naturally to you and, together with the team for Business Support & IT, you lead the selection of technology partners and technology. Although you lead this stand-alone creation process, you continually cooperate with our partners to reach the best results.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a relevant academic background, a Master´s degree in Computer Science, for example; alternatively, equivalent knowledge and experience gained from a comprehensive career. Your expertise in the operation of infrastructure is important and highly useful in this role and – although not required – experience from global organizations is advantageous. As we operate on the global stage, your English skills must be excellent, in both speaking and writing.
