RF-ASIC position summary

Radio Hardware Design is providing the Radio HW solutions for current and future needs of our mobile network operators, enabling the networked society where everything that benefits from being connected will be connected. As a Senior R&D engineer in the RF-ASIC Design Unit, you will work together with the top Engineers in the industry with state-of-the-art Technology in our journey towards 5G and beyond. You will work in a Global environment where we cooperate with Ericsson's organizations and suppliers all over the world.

 

Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Your main tasks will be to design, layout, and validation of RFIC for Ericsson's Radio base stations. You are responsible for documenting your work.
  • You will lead and coach less experienced designers and take full chip responsibility.
  • You will often participate in specification of the RF-ASICs.
  • Contribution to activities bringing the RF-ASIC into volume production, such as automatic test development support, support of reliability qualification work etc.
  • Should there be any problems in production or in field with RF-ASICs you may be called upon to contribute.
  • You are also expected to participate in / drive Continuous Improvements of Products and Processes.

 

Position Qualifications

Core Competences:

  • Strong expertise in RFIC design (incl. schematic design, layout, and the loop in between);
  • RF/analog design. Understand requirements;
  • Proven experience in cadence/SpectreRF;
  • Radio electronics competence;
  • Microwave design competence/understanding;
  • Lab experience on RF frequencies (validate your own designs);
  • Knowledge of the industrialization of RFICs, such production test dev, rel qual.;
  • Basic semiconductor physics knowledge.

 Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • B. Sc. level in a related technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge;
  • 5+ years of related work experience and/or a Ph. D. degree in the area;
  • Fluent in English, oral and written.
