Position Summary
As a Methodology and Tool support engineer you will support the radio board design teams within our 4G and 5G development. You will drive and implement new improved tool related methodologies and features in order to improve our efficiency in close cooperation with our tool vendors. You will play an important role within our design teams and support the designers with help and support when needed.  If you are interested in working with state of the art designs together with very skilled designers from different disciplines this is a real opportunity for you. You will work in an international environment in close cooperation with our other design sites across the world.

 

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Responsible for drive and implement new methodologies and tool features together with the design teams.
  • Support the designers with updates and fault finding if needed.
  • Drive improvements and propose new ways of working if needed.
  • Drive deployments of new tool features and to ensure that they are accepted in the projects.
  • Be a part of our global tool team and give feedback to our tool suppliers about new requirements.
  • Be a part of our global governance and support our other design sites with needed knowledge in the area.

 

Position Qualifications

Core Competences:

  • Very good knowledge and experience in electrical design tools such as Cadence Allegro and/or Mentor Graphics or equivalent electrical schematic and layout tools.
  • Good knowledge in electronic design and tool interactions when producing PBA/PCB’s.
  • Result oriented with a possibility to take own initiatives and drive improvements.
  • Excellent team player with good networking skills.

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • MSc/BSc level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of product development.
  • English Skills, oral and written
