MTGPress and PR Manager i Stockholm

We are looking for a Press and Public Relations Manager that will be based at our office in Stockholm. You will be responsible for the Press, Public Relations and Communication in Europe and North America and improving DreamHack’s footprint. You will also work with Corporate Communication (such as LinkedIn, DreamHack Corporate website) and improving the internal communication around Press and Public Relations.

You will belong to the marketing team and work closely together with the Head of Marketing. In this role it is important to be proactive, organized, thorough and have an eye for quality. • Create an overall strategy for how DreamHack works with press
• Develop DreamHack’s strategy around coverage in old and new media
• Actively work on getting DreamHack covered in traditional media such as national, international tv, radio, magazines, newspapers etc, but also in new media such as podcasts, streams, digital print, by for example create press pitches and find interesting angles, and send out to selected Press
• Build relationships and work with DreamHack’s largest partners on joint PR campaigns and initiatives (eg, sponsors and game publishers)
• Responsible for the press page and application form on all official DreamHack event websites
• Responsible for creating and maintaining the official DreamHack events press kit
• Build press lists and invite press to all DreamHack events to ensure DreamHack gets on-site national and international coverage
• Responsible for the press area and managing press on-site at all DreamHack Events, including:
• Work on reports, big press releases and the B2B newsletters highlighting what we are doing.

The Press and Public Relations Manager will be reporting to the Head of Marketing. Travels, mainly within Sweden, occur approx. 2-4 times/year.

• BS degree in Communication or similar field
• At least 2 years working experience in the field
• Experience in working with communication strategies and implementing and executing them
• Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to communicate clearly to any audience
• To be thorough, with a high amount of attention to detail
• Willingness to work both on the strategic and operative level
• Driven, entrepreneurial, self going and great at taking own initiatives and decisions
• Be able to manage your own time and plan your time efficiently to meet important deadlines
• Passion and/or interest for gaming
• Fluent in English and Swedish

• Experience in crisis communication
• Understanding of Social Media platforms and new media
• Fluent in additional language/s
• Professional experience in the gaming industry
