Description of Unit
Digital Transformation & IT is a newly formed unit within Group Function Technology & Emerging Business, with the aim to drive our digital strategy, vision and to ensure cross-functional execution. Automation & AI is a key theme of Ericsson Digital Transformation and competence is now consolidated to drive business transformation through automation, and to ensure a secure and scalable development, deployment and continued operations.
This position will be reporting to the Head of Automation & AI Transformation.
The position is to be held in Sweden (Kista) or India to be close to the team and stakeholders and to minimize internal travel.
 
Summary
The Automation Strategy, Tools, Innovation Lead will be a key member of the DT & IT team charged with driving the digital strategy and responsible for the Group automation and transformation journey. This position is a key position in Ericsson’s Automation journey, being responsible for the Global automation strategy as well as innovation on new automation technologies to be tested Group-wide. The individual occupying this role will work in a broad context within Global Operations, Strategy and Automation communities as well as with software vendors and advisors, driving the Automation Tribe with an aim to create and align on a global Automation Strategy, objectives and KPIs. The role will collaborate heavily across the whole automation flow from innovation to operations to ensure execution of the Automation strategy towards agreed targets, influencing Operations strategies across the company.
The role demands considerable flexibility in quickly adapting to shifting needs, and is expected to effectively cover a range of responsibilities including, but not limited to:
• Drive the development of Ericsson wide Automation Strategy
• Drive market research into cutting-edge Automation
• Drive POC / Pilot to develop understanding of the Automation tool landscape
• Monitor competitive activities, and develop a deep understanding of needs, attitudes, and usage of automation and AI
• Drive Intelligent Automation (RPA, MI, NLP) point of view within the company. Write blogs, collaborate with other automation leaders.
• Provide thought leadership and shape the knowledge base within Automation & Artificial Intelligence areas.
• Establish Automation and Transformation vision and strategy in one or more units to drive business value through automation & AI offerings
• Translate the Automation and Transformation vision and strategy into tangible performance management measures, targets and benefit tracking initiatives
• Influence Group strategy &performance management processes to ensure maximum benefits from automation initiatives
• Collaborate with stakeholders at different levels in the units and champion change and transformation enablement
• Collaborate within the team to ensure execution the Automation strategy towards set targets, from innovation to Operations
Qualifications
We have high expectations on you as an individual, to bring a good combination of broad-based business, leadership, and functional experience:
• Ability to influence across the organization, effectively leading change, originating ideas, championing and gaining commitment
• Deep level of understanding and experience in technology strategy, operations transformation, technology adoption, digital transformation, digital collaboration, one or more Automation & AI technologies
• Established or emerging thought leader on Intelligent Operations and Automation
• Leadership experience; leader of high performing individuals and teams
• Broad change management competence
• Broad understanding of Ericsson Service delivery and/or Back-office Operations
• Broad understanding of Ericsson strategy and performance management processes
• Excellent senior stakeholder management and presentation skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong ability to present with confidence in front of an audience
• Master degree in Engineering or Business Administration
