Intelligent Transport Systems is a newly created section within the Connected and Autonomous Systems department at Scania R&D. Our mission is to ensure competitive edge within connected and autonomous transport solutions. The Intelligent Transport Systems section will contribute to that mission by providing offboard systems for automated, optimized and safe vehicle control and monitoring. For example that includes responsibility and development of offboard control systems for autonomous vehicles and connectivity for platooning (V2X, etc.).
We are now looking for a manager that want to help us shape the new section and its management team, build great development teams and contribute to sustainable transport solutions. We offer you a position in a dynamic work environment with lots of opportunity to influence the future.
Assignment
You will be responsible for a group of 10-15 co-workers divided into two or three development teams. You will have a mix of tasks in terms of recruitment, competence development, coaching of employees, supporting improvement work within teams, and product guidance. You also support the teams in their collaboration with other teams as well as other key stakeholders within and outside Scania.
You will work closely with the other managers within Intelligent Transport Systems and contribute to the management team work such as strategical planning and organization development.
Your profile
You are a natural and proven leader with strong management and servant leadership skills and you want to develop your leadership continuously. You have a lot of enthusiasm and you have the ability to see people and their possibilities and to trust in others. To succeed in this position you need to be strong in building teams, cross-functional work, be communicative, show drive and initiative and be energized by challenges.
We are looking for a can-do mentality combined with an analytical mindset and structured way of working. An interest in the customer is important. To fit the expectations of the role we think you:
– have at least two years of managerial and leadership experience
– feel highly motivated by the mission and challenges within Intelligent Transport Systems
– are experienced and interested in agile IT system development
– have a graduate or master's degree in engineering or equivalent
Good knowledge of English is required. Good knowledge of Swedish is an advantage. Knowledge about Scania and Scania´s methods and processes is meritorious.
