Scania Credit Group (SCA), Scania Financial Services business unit, serves customers, dealers and distributors in 18 different markets through established local leasing companies or cross border financing. In the markets where we operate, Scania Credit finance more than two thirds of Scania’s sales. Over 90 dedicated professionals manage a portfolio consisting of trucks, buses, coaches and trailers representing 470 MEURO of assets. The Group Head Office, as well as the legal unit Scania Credit AB, is based in Södertälje where we offer cross border financing solutions to customers and distributor financing in Eastern Europe, Middle East and West Africa.

Job description
As our current Chief Accountant of Scania Credit AB is moving on to new challenges within Scania we are now looking for the replacement. You will form part of a team of seven dedicated Chief Accountants located in different markets throughout Eastern Europe.

You will be overall responsible for the accounting, external and internal reporting, tax, funding, projection and related processes of the legal entity Scania Credit AB. The role gives you a great opportunity to work with the full responsibility of the accounting related functions for an independent legal entity within the Scania Group. You will in the role have three direct reports, being the qualified accountants of the company. You are expected to continuously develop the department in line with the SRS principles and ensure that the legal entity is followed up in line with both internal and external requirements. Part of your role also contains analysis of the outcome and balance sheet positions of the entity.
You will play an important role in cross functional project groups within Scania Credit to further develop the processes and support the business opportunities appearing in current and new markets.
 
Your profile 

We believe you have a number of years’ experience from hands on accounting and/or controlling. You have a fundamental understanding of the closing process as well as accounting. You are a natural leader and motivated by coaching others. Furthermore, you are excited by challenges which include operations in growing markets and are not afraid of continuously changing circumstances to which you will need to adapt.

 Your skills and formal qualifications should preferably include:

  • A university business degree
  • Working experience from financial controlling and/or accounting in an international environment
  • Experience and interest in how IT can be used to streamline the accounting
  • Previous management/ team leader experience
  • Professional fluency in English
     

It would be beneficial if you have experience from:

  • A Financial Services company
  • HFM, iScala, Coreview or QlickView
  • Reporting of Swedish VAT, tax and annual reports
  • System implementation project or similar
  • Proficiency in Excel
