Senior IFRS Specialist i Stockholm

The Accounting Principles team consists of 4 people who are responsible for monitoring the accounting regulations that impact the Group, participating in peer meetings and liaising with external audit on technical queries. The team works in different advisory capacities towards senior stakeholders across the group and also as IFRS specialists in projects.

Your role will be to lead the accounting technical topics within projects and other ad hoc consultations. You will act as a point of contact for key stakeholders and project members, to assess the implications for Swedbank, provide education and set Group accounting policies. You will also be responsible for ensuring high-quality documentation to support and enable decisions. The team's current primary focus areas are IFRS 9 Financial Instruments, and the implementations of IFRS 16 Leases and IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts.

• Deep knowledge of IFRS, including practical IFRS 9 experience
• Strong knowledge of the banking industry and financial instruments
• Excellent communication and analytical skills, with an ability to coordinate across business areas and group functions
• Good writing skills
• An academic degree

 You need to be a team player who is driven and results-oriented. You need to be flexible and enjoy working in an environment that produces new challenges continuously. Fluency in English is required.

The role requires 8+ years of experience in accounting or audit, with the majority as a technical accounting specialist. You should have experience analyzing accounting and other regulatory requirements, as well as preparing memos on technical accounting topics.
