It’s Pleat is a new café concept developed by H&M Group. The concept wants to inspire and make it possible for people to make healthier choices, with a non-dictative mindset. We call it a healthy-ish approach to life.
As Concept controller for a startup concept you will be responsible both to secure the operative controlling as well as the strategic. Your role will ensure efficient operations and that the strategies and decisions that we make are well-analyzed and contributes to improving our business. Together with the Concept manager you are also responsible for securing a profitable growth. As the business expands you will also later be responsible for establishing and leading the controlling team.
Your focus areas will be
- Financial budget for It’s Pleat.
- Weekly and monthly follow-up on sales and result globally, both on unit and product level.

Monitor, analyze, and benchmark the results compared to budget and also be responsible to take actions on deviations to the budget.
- Build up a structure for It’s Pleat’s controlling.
- Following-up on our goals and KPI’s. Continuously analyzing anything and everything related to the business, such as (including but not limited to) sales development per unit or product, price levels and gross margins, SOB and buying volumes, operations and staff planning, investment levels and business case new markets - not being afraid of questioning findings in order to develop the concept.
- Goal setting and securing the right buying together with buying responsible.
- Performance follow-up: monitor, summarize and analyze execution of expansion.
- Drive for constant improvements within controlling.
- Be a supportive and secure counterpart for the team in order to facilitate a solid development of It’s Pleat.
We are looking for people with
- A degree in business and 2-3 years of controlling experience within the H&M organization. Additional experience within hospitality is a plus.
- Driven and result oriented personality.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn your analysis into actions that you can implement in your team.
- Detail oriented, with strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
- An entrepreneurial mind-set, taking own initiatives.
- Team player with leadership skills wanting to grow as leaders within H&M.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Excellent excel knowledge.
This is fulltime position starting spring 2018. The position is based at the It’s Pleat head office in Stockholm. The team is small with an entrepreneurial start-up mentality. If you are interested, please send in your application no later than the 30th of April.
