Junior Data & Price Analyst - Tallink Silja AB i Stockholm

Tallink Silja AB’s Revenue Management department is in a really exciting phase! We are developing new projects (big and small), which leads to company growth (in passenger volume and total revenue). In the meantime, one of our colleagues is advancing within the team. Therefore, we are currently looking for a dedicated Junior Data & Price Analyst who wants to contribute to our growth as well as grow with us. We offer a variety of tasks that will challenge you and your analytical skills.

As Junior Data & Price Analyst, you are a part of our Revenue Management department and report directly to the Head of Department, ie. Revenue Manager. You are part of a dedicated and business oriented team working with the analyzing of our products, optimizing cabin prices and capacity and preparing adhoc reports. Your work mainly involves identifying, analyzing and interpreting trends/patterns in complex datasets using statistical methods as well as developing the forecasting models.

Main areas of responsibility:

• Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques.
• Clean data, identify and analyze the patterns in complex data set.
• Combine primary and secondary data sources and thereby maintain our databases.
• Develop the current forecasting methods by using modern analysis tools.
• Support our Pricing Manager in decision-making by analyzing/optimizing our products in our different sales channels.
• Cooperation with Management to prioritize our business and information needs.
• Cooperation with Revenue Management department within the group (Estonia, Finland, Latvia).

Requirements:

• a relevant educational background, such as IT, mathematics and/or statistics.
• at least 1 year of experience in data analysis and programming in R, Matlab and/or SQL.
• the ability to convey complex information in an accessible and pedagogical manner.
• the ability to work independently as well as cooperate in a team.
• accurate, flexible, efficient and keep deadlines.
• a genuine interest in data analysis, statistics and IT.
• a good knowledgebase of the Office package.
• fluency in English, in speech as well as in writing and good knowledgebase in Swedish.

Our office is located in Värtaterminal, Stockholm. We offer a fulltime position and we apply 6 months trial employment. Salary according to reached agreement. We have set the startdate as soon as possible with consideration for resignation period. Business trips occur.
