Job Description

The purpose of the role is to drive sales of theatrical film to theatrical exhibitors in Sweden.

Key responsibilities includes:

  • Presenting analytical facts within theatrical distribution as support for both acquisition and for the launch strategy for titles already acquired
  • Analyzing and securing of the right capacity at the right date for each release to optimize sales
  • Keeping track of competition for both local as for international films
  • Key account manager towards all the main theatrical exhibitors with responsibility to maximize our income and optimize our films position in the theatrical market, including best capacity and best in theatre marketing for all our films (trailering, postering, displays, local events and other marketing activites in the theatres)
  • Responsible for all daily trade/exhibitor contacts concerning release strategy both before the premiere and during the launch on a weekly basis (Monday programming)
  • Responsible for handling everything regarding the digital distribution of all films (digital link, KDMs, posters, other in-theatre-marketing-material)
  • Regular contact with all our providers of digital services within theatrical distribution (Unique, Gofilex etc)
  • Superuser in our booking system MACCS both in the daily booking process and in the analytical process reading results, statistics and facts
  • Booking in MACCS system. Ordering film links and KDMs to the cinemas
  • Approving cash reports and invoicing all cinemas
  • Administrative duties such as accounting incoming invoices, external partners connected to theatrical distribution, warehouse etc.
  • Long term developing self booking systems for smaller cinemas
  • Develop a communication platform and up-dating it with news for all exhibitors
Skills & Requirements

Education (formal qualifications)

  • Business economy on a university level or a similar higher education level within business economy or sales

Work experience

  • Great experience from acquisition and/or sales in the film industry
  • Excellent experience from making good and profitable business through sales
  • Great and well documented experience from taking part in acquisition of film rights
  • Well documented experience from business-to-business sales or similar customer relations work

Skills

  • Excellent sales and business skills (a big drive for business development)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • A highly developed sense of profitable business and economy
  • A great knowledge of films in general, of new films in particular and a big interest in films of all kind
  • Excellent skills in working in modern business systems
  • Excellent skills in communicating in speech as well as in writing both Swedish and English
  • Extremely accurate and excellent in reporting numbers and holding deadlines
